Classification
Proprietary Korean lipolysis formulation; not a defined research compound
Structure and chemistry
Lemon Bottle is a brand name, not a defined chemical compound. Its publicly listed ingredients are bromelain (a proteolytic enzyme from pineapple), riboflavin (vitamin B2, which gives it the yellow colour) and a lecithin-based component. It does not contain deoxycholic acid. Because the exact formulation and concentrations are proprietary, and because independent traceability is limited, the precise composition of any given vial cannot be verified from public information.
What the published research shows
There is no peer-reviewed clinical evidence for Lemon Bottle. No published randomized controlled trial has characterized its efficacy or safety, and the manufacturer’s materials do not include the data needed to assess it.
Mechanism of action
The proposed mechanism is enzymatic and lipolytic, with bromelain and lecithin said to break down localized fat deposits. This has not been characterized in peer-reviewed pharmacology. Its omission of deoxycholic acid distinguishes it from conventional lipolysis formulations based on phosphatidylcholine and sodium deoxycholate.
Development history
Lemon Bottle is manufactured in South Korea and entered international markets around 2023. It did not go through a conventional pharmaceutical development pathway, and no clinical trial program preceded its commercial availability.
Current regulatory status
Lemon Bottle is not FDA-approved, MHRA-licensed or CE-marked. In March 2025 FDA classified Lemon Bottle and similar products sold in the United States as unapproved new drugs, and Swissmedic classifies it as a medicinal product.
Analytical testing
Meaningful analysis requires identification and quantification of each stated ingredient, together with sterility, endotoxin and container-closure integrity testing. Products in this category have also been reported with inconsistent composition between batches and counterfeit packaging in circulation.
